“Animal breeding in good structures brings to a better production; the age of the first pregnancy, the management of the manger and the number of stalls/cow are three factors that are responsible for a difference in the production of 56%.
Often under estimated during the design, planning and management of the stables, space is a fundamental need for the animals in order to move, rest, feed and to evidence their behaviour without stress (aggressitivity, fright).
In case of insufficient space the conseguences are of course congestion, with the increase of sanitary, riproductive and productive problems.”
LOCALIZATION OF THE INTERVENTION
TThe main purpose of the Azienda Agricola, located in the south of Italy, is to create a high quality “production chain” of cattle to increase quantity and valve of milk production.
This project has to be considered amongst a consolidated reality for the milk production, which can count on a total of n. 1750 cattle, of which n. 1500 cows for milk for a total production of 38.000 L/daily of alimentary milk AQ.
The particular project we are considering interests the costruction of a Stable with a total surface of 900 mq, in which n. 24 especially selected cattle will be accomodated.
The structure will be rectangular and very bright; the walls are thought and made of a pierced metal paneling in order to permit the passage of air and light without bothering the cattle within in anyway; creating the right shadow during the hottest hours of the day and at the same time mantaining a congenial temperature during winter.
